Sameer Neupane

Incoming Postdoctoral Scholar

Sameer Neupane is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of Memphis. His research lies at the intersection of human-centered AI, digital health, and wearable sensing. He focuses on understanding real-world stressors and designing intelligent, personalized interventions using large language models (LLMs). His work explores just-in-time adaptive interventions (JITAI), stress detection, and human-AI interaction, with an emphasis on when and why users desire support. He is also interested in advancing interpretable and trustworthy AI systems to improve mental health and well-being through interdisciplinary collaboration.
